Today is our last day of vacation. And, as always, it went by too quickly. Each year we say we need another week. Each year we forget to take the time off.
Our time was spent with toes covered in wet sand.
Pulling wet swimsuits up.
Paddling into clear pond water in the heat of the sun.
Swinging over the edge of the world.
Being girly-girls. (It only took 2 days to get all 10 toes painted).
Jumping into the water at every chance we got.
Actually getting IN our pictures.
Jumping in pictures we don’t belong in.
Filling up our Grandparent and Uncle love tanks with squeezes, kisses, and time spent down on the floor.
Enjoying a full… full… rental lake house.
Listening to frogs and crickets make their endless summer song.
Sneaking in the last minutes of the setting sun before bed time.
Sweet brother-sister time on the porch “alone”.
Welcoming new sister-in-laws to the family over donuts and heat.
Digging, and sand castles, and digging, and sand castles.
And because I can’t fit all the glorious goodness into one post – stay tuned for picture overload #2 on Monday. Yes, I am back to my regular blogging schedule – and SO happy to be. I’ve missed you!

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE all these pictures! Your babies are so gorgeous!!!!!!
Looks you had a great time. Is there anything cuter than a toddler girl in a swimsuit – I think not!
What a fun time!!! As always, you capture the heart of your children in your pictures! Sorry that the vaca had to come to an end, they are always too short!
Rebecca..just happened upon your blog, totally by accident. But I am from Tiskilwa, IL and have known your dad since he was a little boy and all of his siblings. For several years I worked for the newspaper for your g’ma and g’pa. And now remain friends with your Uncle John and Ginger. Was wonderful to see the vacation photo of your dad. Anyway, it’s amazing what a small world it is. Have a great summer and I enjoy your blog. M.E. Dugosh
