HOW DO YOU SHIP AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Shipping cost is a flat rate of $10.50 for US, $18 for Canada, and $25 for all other countries. All of our bags are packaged in a protective muslin bag and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
We do offer signature confirmation on our products, so if you're worried about delivery, make sure to check that option! When your bag ships, you will be emailed your tracking number so you know when to expect delivery. Any packages that state "delivered" on the tracking information, but are not accounted for is not the responsibility of Better Life Bags. Please contact your local post office.
We do suggest hugging your mailman when your bag is delivered. It'll make their day.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
YES! International shipping is a flat rate of $25. Any custom fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We ship USPS International Priority Mail and tracking information only tracks the package until it leaves the US. Shipping times for international shipments have taken up to 2 months for delivery after they leave the US and is out of our control. International purchasing is at your own risk and we cannot be responsible for lost packages or ones stuck in customs at this time. So sorry!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY CUSTOM BAG?
Custom bag orders take 17 days from order to ship date. Each product has an estimated ship date calculator in the listing. If you just can't wait for a bag (and we don't blame you), be sure to check our Ready to Ship section for bags we have in stock for quick ship!
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND AND RETURN POLICY?
We want you to be completely happy with your Better Life Bag! Because all of our products are handmade and custom, we ask that customers request a refund within 48 hours of receiving your BLB. Store credit is also available for customers within 30 days of receiving your purchase - as long the bag has been unused. Store credit will be emailed in the form of a gift card code and will be valid for 30 days. There is a 10% restocking fee for all returns. You can cancel an order within three days of ordering and have the restocking fee waived.
THE CLASP BROKE ON MY BAG! MY DOG ATE MY STRAP! WHAT CAN I DO?
Don't worry! We stand by our products. If you experience any sort of issue with your Better Life Bag that needs repaired (within the first year of purchase), we will fix it for you! Email us with the subject line, "Repair" and pictures of the issues. You may be responsible for shipping and/or repair costs. We also have a wonderful makeover program where you can switch out the fabric on your bag for something brand new. Email us for a makeover price quote.
HOW CAN I CLEAN AND PROTECT MY BEAUTIFUL BETTER LIFE BAG?
We want to help you take care of your bag. Upon receiving it, we suggest Scotchgarding the fabric areas of your bag. Our leather supplier suggests using a leather conditioner such as Dr. Jackson's Leather Conditioner or Dr. Jackson's Hide Rejuvenator once or twice a year to keep the leather supple and conditioned.
Permanent dyes such as denim, lipstick, and red wine are deadly to any type of material - so use your bag with care when around those items. If something non-permanent does get on your bag, some customers have had success using Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on the fabric sections of their bags.
Remember - your bag will treat you as nice as you treat it. Don't put your BLB on dirty floors! Hold it in your lap or hang it on your chair. Be intentional to take care of the investment that you made in your BLB.
WILL YOU EVER USE VEGAN LEATHER?
We use 100% genuine leather on all of our bags. Our labels are also made out of suede. At this point, we are not thinking about offering a faux leather option.
DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?
We charge a 6% sale tax for orders billed to a Michigan address.
DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE OR CONSIGNMENT?
We don't offer any wholesale options for our bags. We want to bring our products to our customers at the lowest price possible. This doesn't leave any room for wholesale pricing.
We do frequently do pop up shops in like-minded boutiques. If you are interested in hosting BLB at your boutique for a day, email email@example.com!
CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your Order # and details of what you'd like changed. If your bag has not been cut, we will most certainly change your order!
